When I take Louise in to the office, we have a general route we take for our lunch walk. There is one area along the way where Louise always stops to roll around in the grass, without fail. She just loves that spot, and that makes me suspicious. But until I can find something actually wrong with it, I guess there is no harm in letting her roll in the grass, right?

Now that the new guy has started at work, Louise sits between me and him. This has worked to her advantage, as she gets twice the attention now.

I hate to break it to you...but Louise is rolling in some other animal's urine. Bleck! They do it to "disguise" their own scent. My pug, Tulip, used to like to roll in deer urine, if allowed. But I preferred the scent of plain pug, to that of pug dipped in strange urine! :)

Elizabeth, she gets a bath TONIGHT. And any other time this happens.

But does it have to be urine? It's in front of a restaurant and I suspect it might be some other smelly food-related substance she is rolling in.

Hmmm, good question! I've always heard of dogs rolling in urine, excrement, or, I hate to say it, dead beastie, but it DOES seem more pug-like to choose to roll in restaurant refuse: pieces of burger, a fine pasta with redsauce, etc. Go Louise!

Chewie always rolls in one particular area near the bank around the corner. It's the exact same type of flowery weeds. It doesn't make him stink ,so more power to him!!!
