It's good news/bad news time. The good news is that Louise has been to the vet, and the prognosis is good. She's gonna live. The bad news is she's backed up in a bad way and is in a lot of discomfort right now. As you can see by this photo, this is no joke. The poor girl's stomach is large and she has not wanted to go for a walk at all, due to the discomfort.All we can do is feed her laxatives and try to make her comfortable.
One side effect of all this was we got to see a couple x-rays of Louise's guts and bones. Her spine is in good shape for her age, so the prognosis on that was good. We did see some areas that are showing wear, but nothing to be concerned about right now, so long as she is healthy and mobile. Once she 'passes' this current problem, she should be in fantastic shape again.

Oh, poor Louise! Perhaps some prunes would help? My old pug girl, Tulip, is suffering through a UTI right now, so can empathize with Louise's suffering....
Thanks for the comments so far everybody, we do appreciate it. I'll be sure to post any updates to her condition. Last night she was able to pee, so at least that is one area of pressure that has lessened.

OH no, so sorry to hear. Brutus just got over some of the squirts. I hope she feels better soon. Love hearing about her.
Small amount of progress, she has been able to have a movement but still has a LOT to push through. Still, I'm sure that even with only that helps make her feel better.
Poor baby... I hope all is well very soon.
