I've been pretty busy with work, but here is a quick shot just to show that Louise is still alive and sleepy. She is on a co-worker's lap in this photo.
I was looking at some old photos of Louise and I can't help but notice how grey her face is getting. I have heard that dogs often resemble their owners at times, but who knew that her and I would both go prematurely grey?

When I take Louise in to the office, we have a general route we take for our lunch walk. There is one area along the way where Louise always stops to roll around in the grass, without fail. She just loves that spot, and that makes me suspicious. But until I can find something actually wrong with it, I guess there is no harm in letting her roll in the grass, right?
Now that the new guy has started at work, Louise sits between me and him. This has worked to her advantage, as she gets twice the attention now.

Greedy at the Night Market
We were at the night market once again, and as usual, had to get some tasty treats from the 'food court'. It's not really a food court like you would imagine, but rather just all the food vendors are grouped together. It does make it easy because when you want food, you know where to go for it.
Anyway, we usually get a variety of stuff including lamb kabobs (ie. meat on a stick) which we will usually give Louise some as a treat. Once we start doing this, she gets VERY excited and pays close attention to what we have in-hand.
Overall, it was a pleasant night out because there were fewer people at the market, making it less crowded. I don't think we will go to the night market without the stroller in the future - it is just too handy for keeping Louise in place and preventing accidents like people stepping on her toes, etc.

Yard Sale
We had a yard sale this weekend and that meant Louise was required to do her best at persuading potential customers into buying something from us.
Overall, this kind of activity is not that much fun for her as she basically just lounged around either on the grass (as pictured) or in her stroller. The sun eventually came out and when it did, we were caught on the sunny side of the street. I got a little bit of sunburn on my arms and Louise had to find things to hide behind to get some shade.
Overall, the yard sale was a success. We got rid of a lot of things (not all of it, sadly) and made a little money for our troubles. What did not sell will probably go up on craigslist or get given to charity.
While it was boring for Louise, at least she got to meet lots of people and new dogs. That is generally the best part of any outing for her, so I think she adjusted quickly to the 'wait and let them come to me' approach.

It's a magical place
We live in an interesting neighborhood filled with all sorts of creative people. For example, this sculpture of a toadstool was created by an artist who signed her work as 'me jane' - I remember seeing her working on it, placing each of the little porcelain pieces, etc. I am personally fond of the two frogs she got to accompany it. Anyhow, Louise was being good so I had her pose for a more formal shot than usual. This is the result.
It was later in the evening and I had to adjust my little camera phone to get a decent photo. That meant using the 'night mode' setting, which does make the camera more sensitive to light and colour, but also slows down processing time considerably. This meant that Louise had to sit very still for about ten seconds while the phone did it's thing. It also meant I had to hold the phone very still to avoid blurring. Yeah, I know, the dog did a better job of staying still than I did.
