Spending the day in the office sometimes requires doing some unusual things. But that's just fine for a pug like Louise. She rolls with the punches and just keeps smiling. Especially when food is on the line.
We took the aquabus to get to work today, and had to change boats half way through because we missed the one that goes to our destination by a few minutes. But that was okay since the boat pilot was friendly.
Louise also had to be on her best behaviour today because the owner of the company was in for a visit. Unfortunately, I have to report that on several occasions Louise was napping on the job. Hopefully the owner was in a hurry and did not notice.

Louise helps organize
One of the activities we are doing this weekend is a continued effort to organize our things inside our condo. To this end, everyone has to pitch in and help.
Some help more effectively than others.
Louise did her part, helping to motivate us and to generally keep morale high. Here you can see her helping us to make a plan of where things should go, etc. While our initial idea was for Louise to be the keeper of the plan, she eventually rescinded that responsibility, due to the general state of exhaustion it seemed to leave her in. Louise felt her efforts were better spent on other areas of helping out, such as cat herding and food bowl cleanup. Also, some continued surveilance of the sofa seemed to be in order, to make sure we were not putting too many things on it.
Other than that, Louise is settling into a routine pretty quickly. She is meeting lots of local dogs, chasing after cars is now a part-time effort, largely dependent on how energetic she is at the time and getting to see lots of new places.

Visiting the neighbors
Louise found this interesting 'house' just a block away from our place, and decided to knock on the door. In my opinion, this was a much better plan than peeing on the welcome mat, so I let her go ahead.
Unfortunately, nobody was home to greet Louise, so we moved on after a few minutes.
However on second glance, I was a little relieved to see that nobody answered. This was because the address on the door was '666' which falls out of the regular zoning restrictions. Clearly the inhabitants here are well connected politically and not to be messed with.

Another fountain downtown
I think this fountain is on Bute ave but cannot remember well enough to be sure. At any rate, we were out walking Louise and thought she should do some tourist poses in front of the fountain.
As you can see, she's familiar with the routine.
The weather has been a bit spotty lately - most days have rain at some point - either in the morning, or starting in the afternoon. Because of this, it hasn't really been warm yet. But that does not seem to stop all kinds of people who seem to be 'willing' the warm weather into existence by wearing shorts and T-shirts prematurely.
As for Louise, she is in no hurry for things to warm up too much. After a long walk, she's already huffing and puffing. I can only imagine how she will do if it gets overly warm and humid.

Weekend Blues
Louise has not had a fun weekend. We had a lot of running around to do, so she was often left waiting for us either at home or in the car. Somehow she did survive though, even though it was a very tiresome process. She has been napping to regain her strength.
She did manage to make it out to Maple Ridge to visit her Aunt Janet and Uncle Gunnar though. She played with both of them and tried to eat the food set out for their pet cats (who made themselves scarce for our visit). We kept her on a tight leash though, and Louise was reasonably well behaved.
It wasn't all doom and gloom though. She did get to walk in some interesting places and meet some interesting dogs. And she did help us eat our breakfasts from Burger King. (She usually gets a little bit of sausage and egg as a treat.) But right now, our little pug is just plain old sleepy.
